The speakers of EDIS 2025 and 2026
The diaspora creators, innovators, leaders, and pioneers who shared their Mebrahti moments for the next generation of Eritrean diaspora leaders.
Watch a choreographer explain why authenticity draws people to you. Hear a therapist tell a room of second-gens that they are cycle breakers. Listen as a sports agent who has represented Olympians shares how to survive so you can thrive. Start with the highlight reel, then find a portrait and hear that voice for yourself.
Highlight reel
Sit in on the moments that moved the room. A novelist admits she isn’t the most talented writer; she just finished. A psychologist calls the culture we carry a bridge, not a burden. A community builder reminds us the grass is greener where you water it. Press play to watch them back to back, or choose a name to go straight to that voice.
The speakers
Haweys and hafteys, here is everyone who has taken the EDIS stage, from A to Z. Hover over a portrait and their words rise up as you hear them. Choose it to watch the full moment, read their story, and see the session where it happened.
Eritrea in every voice
Coffee poured slowly from the jebena. Baskets woven in every color. Palms along the avenue, and a railway climbing into the highlands. Our speakers carry these places into Merhaba Hall. Bring the stories you carry to EDIS 2027.
May 7 and 8, 2027 · Online in Merhaba Hall
EDIS returns with its annual theme, Unlocking Your Mebrahti Mindset. Mebrahti carries the meaning of light in Tigrinia, and this summit is built by the people who carry it. Choose how you want to help build the next one.
